Chase Student Loans
By Gary Ng
Chase student loans are one of the ways that students can acquire the funding that they need in order to attend school. Like many banks, Chase offers a variety of federally regulated and private loans so that students can afford to go to the school that they desire, regardless of the costs. If you are interested in Chase student loans, there are several things that you will want to keep in mind. First, there are two different types of loans that you can acquire. One type requires a co-signer and the other does not. While there are many different programs beneath these two tiers of loans, you will need to find out which tier you will fall into before you go further into the loan process. In order to be able to get Chase student loans without a co-signer, you will need to have a good credit score. Your credit score is what the bank uses to determine how much of a risk you are. The higher the risk you are, the less chance that the bank will allow you to register for Chase student loans without a co-signer. In many cases, students do not have the credit history that is required in order to

register without a co-signer. Because of this, most students end up taking a federal plan or Chase student loans that utilize a co-signer. Unlike solo student loans, Chase student loans with a co-signer tend to be easier to get, and usually have better interest rates. This is due to the fact that the bank usually views these loans as more secure, as parents do not want to risk their credit history. As the Chase student loan payments will reflect on their credit history if payment is not made, the co-signer will typically work to ensure the student pays off the Chase student loans when they are due. There are a base of five different programs linked to Chase student loans. Two of them are federally funded and routed through Chase banks, and the other three are private loans handled only by Chase. Each of these programs have their own different rules, interest rates, and purposes. When you go to research your Chase student loans, take the time to pursue all of the different programs that are available, as this will help ensure that you get the best deal and the loan that is right for you.
